Vision and Mission

uOSSC Vision : To enhance patient safety and health professions education through deliberate practice and innovative research.

uOSSC Mission:

1. The uOSSC will deliver high quality simulation-based education at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels of health professions.
2. The uOSSC will establish a culture of continuous professional development using simulation.
3. The uOSSC will develop an internationally recognized and innovative research program in medical education and patient safety in collaboration with the Academy for Innovation in Medical Education (AIME).
4. The uOSSC will establish partnerships with national professional bodies (e.g. Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Medical Council of Canada).
5. The uOSSC will partner with other regional institutions of higher education and health professions education (e.g. Carleton University, Algonquin College).
